Non-adherent wound dressing pads are a type of medical dressing used to cover wounds and promote healing. They are designed to be non-stick, which means they do not adhere to the wound bed, reducing the risk of further trauma and pain during dressing changes. Non-adherent wound dressings are typically made from materials such as silicone, polyurethane foam, or a combination of both. They may be coated with a low-adherence material to further reduce the risk of sticking to the wound.

These dressings ( Axunique) has absorption capacity much better than normal gauze ( almost 3 times more absorbing capacity than normal gauze). Moreover, the outer layer of dressing which is exposed to environment is Hydrophobic which means any accidental water or liquid spill will ensure it doesn’t gets absorbed from the external exposed surface thus preventing contamination.

Non Adherent Wound Dressing pad are commonly used for wounds that are shallow and have minimal exudate (drainage), such as abrasions, surgical wounds, or donor sites. They may also be used to protect fragile or delicate skin, such as in the case of burns or skin tears.
